CDI4 * Lier could not have been more successful for the Olympic Verwimp rider Jorinde. She and her 18-year-old Tiamo, who has a very impressive list of results, won first place of the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Freestyle. “Tiamo was once again in great shape! He gave me a super-fit feeling”, according to Jorinde.
The goal of Jorinde for CDI Lier was loud and clear. “Our goal was to put down flawless tests with a lot of expression. And that worked out pretty well! Almost everything went well in the Grand Prix, except for the first half pass. He was startled by a flower and jumped to the inside. But Tiamo is a horse that will never let you down, so we managed to solve that somewhat. We have been together for so long, so we know that we can count on each other. “The goal of Jorinde & Tiamo was achieved and they were rewarded with a score of 73.217% which resulted in first place. The Spaniard Sergio Martin Palos was the runner up. Click here to view the Grand Prix test by Jorinde and Tiamo.
Grand Prix Freestyle on Music
The absolute highlight of CDI Lier took place on Sunday evening: the Grand Prix Freestyle. “Tiamo felt very well during the Freestyle. However, he made a leap of joy at the end of our test, which has slightly reduced the score of our test”, says Jorinde. Just like last year they were the victors of the Freestyle. The 23-year-old Verwimp and her Lester-son received a score of 77,450% and can be extremely satisfied with their victory series during the exciting Belgian four-star competition.
Jorinde looks back with satisfaction at the competition. “CDI Lier has a great atmosphere to ride in. And winning for a home crowd is totally awesome! Despite the cold, everything was arranged very well. The stables were heated for example. We lacked nothing as riders and our horses were well taken care of. ”
World Cup Dressage ‘s-Hertogenbosch
