Last weekend Jorinde Verwimp participated in a competition for the first time after her accident. She took part with the young Eton at CDN Dentergem. And not without result, they were rewarded with a score of 67.2% in the Prix St. Georges and nearly 66% in his first Intermediate I.

Jorinde: “It felt great to be back in the game. I started riding again last Monday and decided to go all the way straight away. So we scheduled a competition that same week: CDN Dentergem. ”

They choose Eton as the horse she would participate with, a horse Jorinde does not frequently ride: “Eton is stabled at Anky van Grunsven. I only ride him when I am there, but due to my accident that was some time ago. We could only train twice for Dentergem. ”

Dentergem was the second competition for the newly formed combination, but Eton certainly shows progress: “Eton felt much more relaxed than the last time. His best parts are those in trot. He excels in that! Unfortunately we had a costly error after the first canter pirouettes. He hit the gate and got scared. For the time being I will continue to bring him out on competition to gain experience. We’ll see what the future brings us! ”

Students put down great performances
Also pupils of Dressuurstal Verwimp have had a good weekend. Emma Driessen rode her Kalahari in the Prix St Georges to a score of 66.9%. Ruut Pasgang achieved a percentage of 86% with the four-year-olds with James Pleasure and in the 4.2 she was rewarded with a score of 66.4% with Sandro.

The next competition Jorinde will take part in is November 25th.
