Recently it was announced that the approved stallion Guardian S will appear under Jorinde Verwimp during the KWPN Stallion Show. They will come into action on February 2nd. We asked the Olympic rider more about this impressive Bodyguard Moorland descendant.

Powerful feeling
Jorinde: “I have only ridden Guardian S three times, but we really click. From the first time I rode him he gives me a very ‘powerful’ feeling. And yet he is light as a feather. He is really a great horse to work with. ”

Q: What are Guardian S’s best points?
Jorinde: “He has a great attitude and is very cooperative and smart. He also has very expressive gaits. And even though he will be only seven years old this year, he can already collect very well. He has a very promising future ahead of him! ”

Q: How do you prepare for the stallion show?
Jorinde: “We have planned six more trainings at Anky and Sjef their stable. This week I’m going to ride him three times and next week too. It is now a matter of finding the right buttons by February 2! I am very confident that he will put down a super performance. During the stallion competition in 2016 he already defeated Glock’s Toto Jr. under Marieke van der Putten. They set the bar really high! I will do my best to show him as well as possible.”

Q: Future plans?
Jorinde: “The performance of Guardian S and me is for the time being a one time thing. The plan is that Anky will ride him herself. The time will tell when they appear in the arena.”
