Busy but successful international days for Jorinde at CDI Peelbergen
Last weekend, Jorinde Verwimp competed at CDI Peelbergen in Kronenberg. With three horses: Lotus-S, Charmer and My Dream V/H Aegroschot, she rode in both the Small Tour and the Grand Prix Tour. It was an educational three days with solid scores and valuable competition experience for all horses.
Lotus-S
Grand Galaxy Win × Juventus • Dark bay gelding • 2016
Owner: Yas Horse Racing Management • Breeder: A.C.A. Van Roosmalen
For the just 9-year-old Lotus-S, CDI Peelbergen was only his third Grand Prix start ever, making this show another important step in his development. On Friday he scored 64.435% in the Grand Prix. On Saturday he continued with the Grand Prix Special, earning 63.404%. Although he is still only 9-years-old and inexperienced at this level, Lotus-S shows great potential for the future.
Charmer
Charmeur × Quattro 7 • Bay gelding • 2012
Owner: Jorinde Verwimp • Breeder: Hans Peytier
Charmer delivered a strong performance in Friday’s Grand Prix, scoring 67.761%. On Saturday he started in the Grand Prix Freestyle, finishing with 71.670%, rounding off his CDI weekend in an excellent way.
My Dream V/H Aegroschot
Dreamboy × Blue Horse Zack • Bay mare • 2017
Owner: Peter Jonckers • Breeder: Stal Aegroschot
For the 8-year-old My Dream V/H Aegroschot, this was her first indoor CDI, an important milestone in her young career. She started the weekend strongly with an 8th place in the Prix St. Georges, scoring 67.451%.
In the Intermédiaire I and the Freestyle on Sunday, tension unfortunately played a bigger role, which was reflected in the scores (63.284% and 69.242%). Nevertheless, the weekend remains valuable for her development and progression within the Small Tour.
With these three horses, Jorinde gained further important international experience. Dressuurstal Verwimp looks back on a successful and educational CDI weekend and is already looking forward to the upcoming competitions.
