CDIO5 Fontainebleau: Wim Verwimp and Jedai de Massa compete in Fontainebleau

At the prestigious CDIO5* in Fontainebleau, France, Wim Verwimp competed with Jedai de Massa among the world’s elite. The Belgian combination started in both the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Special, in a highly competitive field.

Riding the gelding Jedai de Massa (by Don Juan de Hus x Mina de la Font, breeder: Sylvain Massa), Verwimp scored 64.631% in the Grand Prix. This test counted towards the team classification, in which Belgium – represented by Justin Verboomen, Larissa Pauluis and Charlotte Defalque – finished in third place. During the test, the combination was affected by small flies, which impacted concentration.

In the Grand Prix Special, Verwimp showed clear improvement. The pair achieved a score of 70.638%, resulting in a fifth place finish in the final standings of the class.

With these results, the combination demonstrates a clear upward trend at the highest international level, with Jedai de Massa continuing to establish himself as an experienced Grand Prix horse on the international stage.
