Gold for Wim Verwimp and Multiple Podium Finishes for Jorinde Verwimp at the Belgian Dressage Championships

Dressuurstal Verwimp enjoyed a highly successful Belgian Dressage Championships, collecting several podium finishes, strong final placings, and, as the ultimate highlight, a Belgian title for Wim Verwimp and Jedai de Massa. The team made its mark across all levels of the sport.

The crowning achievement came in the Belgian Championship Grand Tour Level 8, where Wim Verwimp and Jedai de Massa (by Don Juan de Hus) claimed the gold medal and the Belgian title. It was a fitting reward for an outstanding championship performance by the combination.

Jorinde Verwimp also enjoyed an excellent championship, competing with several horses. In the Diamond Cup Level 4, she secured two podium finishes. Riding Ulandro van de Kempenhoeve (by Kjento), she earned the silver medal with a total score of 212.919 points. She also guided Power Black VK (by Kjento) to the bronze medal with 212.358 points.

In the same competition, Tom Franckx narrowly missed the podium, finishing in a commendable fourth place with Oliva (by Eye Catcher) on 211.111 points. He also qualified for the final with Thor van ’t Swillenhof (by Secret), scoring 203.940 points. Jorinde Verwimp likewise reached the final with Tap Dancer van het Genelaar (by Fuerst Jazz), finishing on 201.451 points.

In the Brilliant Cup Level 5, Jorinde added another medal to her record. Riding Virano (by Vitalis), she claimed silver with 209.997 points. She also finished just outside the podium with Nero W (by Inclusive) on 206.459 points. Tom Franckx with Imke-Zelma (by Uphill) and Kris Schepkens with Vinci (by De Niro) also qualified for the final.

In the Platinum Cup, Ine Vandecappelle secured a place in the final with Akilly v Antango.

In the Belgian Championship Small Tour Level 6, Jorinde Verwimp rode Karnival Zee T (by Eye Catcher) to the bronze medal with a total score of 213.312 points. Tom Franckx also achieved a strong final placing with Moet Chandon N2 (by Hermes) on 206.647 points.

With one Belgian title, three silver medals, two bronze medals, and numerous final placings, Dressuurstal Verwimp can look back on a highly successful Belgian Championships. The results underline the strong progress the team has made in recent seasons, both with established horses and the next generation of dressage talents.
