Maxwil V is gone

Unfortunately we had to put Maxwell V to sleep last Thursday. Maxwell came to us as a three year old and has always stayed with us, both Wim and Jorinde have experienced beautiful sporting highlights with the gelding.

“Unfortunately we had to put Maxwell to sleep. He was 28 years old and in the morning he was still fit and cheerful in the stable, a few hours later he was unable to get up. We suspect that he had an attack. We left him peacefully I went to sleep with him, unfortunately Jorinde was at a competition in the CDI Lier.” According to Wim Verwimp.

Maxwil, by Goodwill, was bred by W. Vossen of Roggel, The Netherlands. Wim rode the gelding up to Grand Prix level. The combination was twice selected for the European Championships. In 2010 Jorinde took over the reins after she made the transition from ponies to horses. She finished fifth in the 2011 Belgian Young Riders Championship and seventh in the Belgium Small Tour Championship.
